HistoryServing Central Virginians and their families for over 30 years In 1976, Your Community Credit Union was organized as "Nuclear Power Federal Credit Union" to serve the employees and families of Babcock & Wilcox. In 1991, we changed our name and began serving new partner companies, increasing our membership.
Discovering that over 80% of the population in Central Virginia had no access to a credit union of any kind, CVFCU made the decision to become a community credit union to serve the Region 2000 area in 1998.
Today, we serve 14,000 members with four full service branches, 13 ATMs, and a Call Center for the convenience of our membership.
